Along Boundary Canyon

The road is State Route 374 through the eastern reaches of Boundary Canyon, headed toward Beatty, Nevada; view is roughly northeast to prominent exposures of sandstones and mudstones of the Middle Oligocene Titus Canyon Formation, a vertebrate fossil-bearing rock unit that has yielded to paleontology crews many horses, tapirs, rodents, camels and titantotheres roughly 30 million years old.
