Titantothere Skull

Two views of the famous Titantothere skull on display in the Death Valley Museum at Furnace Creek Ranch, where I took the photograph. This is actually a replica of the original specimen, which was excavated by paleontology teams in 1933 from the mouth of Titantothere Canyon near Leadfield along the road to Titus Canyon in the late middle Eocene Titus Canyon Formation.
