Actual skull bones of the famous Titantothere skull--a replica of which is on display in the Death Valley Museum at Furnace Creek Ranch--excavated by paleontology teams in 1933 from the mouth of Titantothere Canyon near Leadfield along the road to Titus Canyon in the late middle Eocene Titus Canyon Formation.
