Echo Canyon


The colorful slope directly before you, in Echo Canyon, is a classic exposure of the Lower to Middle Cambrian Carrara Formation (roughly 535 to 525 million years old). The Carrara yields many species of trilobites, brachiopods and Girvanella oncolites (an extinct variety of blue-green algae).
